Bruce Hagenau is selected to be Chairman of the Southeast Council of the AeA, f/k/a the American Electronics Association and becomes a member of its National Board of Directors.  The AeA is the largest association of technology companies in the US, with over 2000 member companies.

Metcam adds 1st laser flexible manufacturing system from Bystronic.

Metcam adds first pressbrake installed by Hurco in US

Metcam announces completion of facilities expansion. The expansion increased parking, employee break areas and restroom facilities. With the new facilities, Metcam will be able to employ up to 175 employees.

October 2000

Metcam adds a new pressbrake with BendCAD automated setup capability

Metcam is a founding member of the Georgia Technology Leadership Coalition

Metcam expands laser capacity to two lasers, both working off of the same integrated and automated material loading/unloading system – this is only the second such Bystronic laser system installed worldwide
