Laser Cutting

Our state-of-the-art dual-laser Bystronic flexible manufacturing system enables Metcam to perform high tolerance piercing and cutting on a wide variety of material types and thicknesses. This system has the capability to select a material from a storage tower, load it into one of two laser cutting beds, cut the material according to the queued nest (that was automatically generated from a 3D solid model) and remove the completed cut parts. This system is able to run 36,000 lbs of material unattended.

The entire system is Windows compatible. It easily integrates into our shop's Local Area Network (LAN) and is integral to our larger logistics systems. Beyond laser cutting, the equipment and its supporting software can exchange files, maintain production schedules and keep track of raw stock in the material tower.

Our advanced laser cutting services are ideal for customers wanting quick turn prototypes. Once prototypes are approved, the system also has the capacity to efficiently handle production volumes, allowing for a fast and seamless transition from prototyping to full production.
